On checking with Lewis Hinks, noted that the party with such success was made up of five anglers. Angling success really does vary - even among anglers on the same pool on the same day. And especially as we go through October, the interest in hitting the spawning areas takes away interest in grabbing at a fly. There has been talk, incidentally, of fish starting to think about excavating redds on the Margaree. Lets hope there are many of them succeeding.

I just read river notes and couldn't help but notice the post about the Margaree. I just talked to 3 people, 1 is still at the Margaree and has been there all October so far and the other 2 just returned after a week. Their reports are not so glorious. Also, "A party that had 13 salmon on the line in one morning", unless the laws became more liberal since the last time I was up, isn't there a limit as to how many salmon you are allowed to catch and release in one day?
